Today was so cool we woke up and were picked up by a water taxi right by our hotel and taken to the island of Murano to visit a glass factory. When we got there we met up with the owner and he took is in to the area where the glass is blown. We got to watch a master glass blower in action it was amazing to see what beautiful glass he could create in such a small amount of time. He heated up a piece of glass and then in about a minute pulled and twisted the glass into a horse. I couldn’t believe it. After that we went in and looked around at their showroom. It was so colorful and expensive. I kept thinking that I was going to knock something over and then have to pay for it. And all of the glass was really high end. I would love to own a piece of their work in my home someday. I decided to buy a gift for my mom and then I picked up a nice ashtray or I guess it could be a change dish pretty much one of the most inexpensive items that I could actually afford. After that we went back to our hotel and Erika and I just chilled out for a bit. We called Zago and he said that he would take a train down to Venice and we would hang out around six o’clock. I was so excited to see him. I walked down to the train station and met him. Almost didn’t recognize him but he is still the same old Zago maybe a little bit thicker. We went back to the hotel and picked up Erika and went out on the town. It was so much fun we drank spritzers at this cool café and met up with Z’s friend Peppino and we all just got drunk and ate kabobs. Peppino was the bartender at the café so when he got off work we went over to his house and watched TV. Pepi brought home some cougar from the café and she was kinda freaky but still pretty cool from the Dominican Republic. It was getting really late so Zago, Erika, and I walked back to the hotel and decided to have a slumber party and just sat around laughing and talking until we fell asleep. Its fun to see your good buddies halfway across the world just on a whim. What an amazing night!
